This has been demonstrated in creating medical training programs for a hospital network in Northern Illinois, a partnership with the City of Orlando in the creative village, and an on-site facilities maintenance and CNC operator course in Illinois. He has also been active in providing several continuing education programs and handling the training requirements of continuous certifications.
William's post-secondary career started with Career Education Corporation. He was responsible for the development and centralization of financial reporting for over 80 locations. He established weekly operational metric reporting combined with budgets/forecasting to lead to successful student and regulatory results. William now has 20 years of diverse financial and operational experience, including 6 years of executive management and 16 years of direct education management, focusing on financial and operational oversight and implementation. William works closely with Boards of Directors, private equity groups, lenders and investors, often serving in interim management CFO and COO roles.
Mr. Winkowski has extensive executive leadership and operations experience in challenging corporate environments specializing in assisting with management practices, partnership agreements, structured buyouts, technology solutions, overall operating efficiencies and customized training. His extensive experience enables him to deliver critical insight and solutions to the Companies he represents.
Mr. Winkowski’s experience includes serving as Chief Executive/Financial Officer of MedTech College where he restructured operations to achieve profitable results and increased liquidity, conducted a forensic audit to restate 2014 financial results, and created and managed an operations transition plan for the sale of all campuses to a new ownership group. He has served as Chief Financial/Operating Officer, North America, of SAE Institute where he was responsible for the operational restructuring that produced substantial growth in population metrics by 56% and driving $5M in profit. As Chief Financial Officer of ATA College, he improved efficiencies to increase revenue by $750,000 and cost reductions of over $1 million.
Previously, he was Vice President of Finance at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts where he was responsible for managing and monitoring operations of two campuses comprised of 2,300 students and $51 million in revenue. In 2011, he started MFI to continue building relationships and solutions already established in the corporate arena.
William has a Master’s in Accounting and Financial Management, a Bachelor’s in Finance, a Bachelor’s in Management Information Systems and is an Illinois Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Winkowski is currently pursuing his PhD in Leadership & Change at Antioch University.
